Introduction

My car was stolen a a year ago. I didn't think I was ready to be go car-free, but I have. I reuse my shower water to flush my toilet and to water plants, I compost all my biodegradables, and grow food. I'm learning how to prepare native food, too.

What are you doing in response to the coming decline in energy and the threat of global warming?

Changing my lifestyle greatly. I'm also working on a fundraiser to donate alternative energy to a community facility.

What kind of community projects would you like to work on that address (or educate about) oil depletion and climate change?

Working with others to live outside the system. Also, I think we need to help the First People preserve and restore their ways of life. The book Tending the Wild by M. Kat Anderson makes a compelling case for this on page 116. 2 much 2 Xplain here.

Do you have any skills or resources you would like to share?

There are lots of Kwahr (acorns) where I live and Tottcon (Toyon berries). Also, I have a lot of space for planting and composting .
