CAA Web Vision/Mission

At the April CAA meeting, we felt the need for a vision statement for the new web site. The following are inputs from members regarding the vision or mission for the web site.

• Peak Oil Awareness
  a. to provide simple, easy to understand basic information about what peak oil is and its impact
  b. To enable an ongoing discussion pertaining to peak oil. To open a conversation on a local level
  c. To build a positive narrative pertaining to the responses to peak oil
  d. to have a video clip of the month.
  e. to provide a framework for all the "threads" of related issues
  
• Who we are
  a. to describe the overall mission of the Austin group and invite people to get involved
  b. to report on current and planned activities of the group.
  c. To connect Peak Oil Austin with the community it serves
  
• Outreach
  a. To enable anyone to engage in the conversation around peak oil using a blog/response tool
  b. to be a reference listing & annotation of all things LOCAL to Austin that pertain to Peak Oil
