On behalf of the Texas Solar Energy Society, I would like to invite you to an ice cream social that I am hosting at my residence at 3908 Avenue G in Austin on Sunday, August 30th at 3:00pm. We will be serving home-made, hand cranked ice cream (also some made with electricity generated by a solar PV array).

Natalie Marquis from the Texas Solar Energy Society will talk about the Austin Energy Solar Rebate Program (and briefly touch upon other services AE offers to help customers lower their electric bills).

Natalie, besides being the TXSES Executive Director, is the General Manager of Habitat Suites, a "green" hotel in Austin; with the largest solar array on a hotel in the country. A representative from Texas Solar Power Company, the company that installed my two roof-mounted, grid-tied PV systems, will also be there to explain their programs and answer questions. The presentation will be about 40 minutes with time to follow for Q&A. We’ll also have a short tour of the PV installations.
